Role Overview
About the employer
Confidential corporate employer
Our client operates in Nigeria’s legal market and serves clients who expect professionalism, responsiveness, and sound judgment. The organization name is shared with shortlisted candidates at the appropriate stage of the process.
The company invests in people who want to build durable careers, not just fill a seat. Leaders emphasize ethical conduct, clear communication, and measurable outcomes. Teams are expected to collaborate across functions, challenge ideas respectfully, and document decisions so the business can scale without losing quality.
This opportunity is centered on Lagos with a hybrid working arrangement. You should plan for in-person collaboration when client delivery, team workshops, or leadership meetings require it, and use modern workplace tools to stay aligned between those touchpoints.
About the role
We are especially interested in young, bright, and energetic people who learn fast, show up with positive energy, and want to build a serious career in a supportive team. A corporate legal team is hiring a Junior Corporate Lawyer for contract negotiation, compliance tasks, and board support.
These openings are aimed at entry-level and mid-level talent, typically with roughly zero to four years of experience. If you are young, bright, energetic, and hungry to learn, we want to hear from you.
We are looking for a mid-level Junior Corporate Lawyer who brings curiosity, follow-through, and positive energy to the team. The overview below is detailed so you can judge fit before you apply: how the role contributes to the business, what you will own, and how success is measured.
In your first 12 months, strong performance typically means owning a portfolio of standard commercial agreements; supporting one significant transaction or regulatory filing; and building direct relationships with business stakeholders. You will work with managers who value direct updates, early escalation of risks, and practical solutions.
Day to day, you should expect a mix of strategic planning, hands-on execution, and stakeholder management. The environment rewards people who write things down, follow through on commitments, and treat colleagues, clients, and vendors with respect.
You will collaborate with colleagues across levels, from specialists who execute the work to executives who set direction. Clear communication, well-run meetings, and shared documentation help everyone move faster. You should be comfortable receiving feedback, giving it constructively, and adjusting course when the facts change.
We encourage you to apply if you meet most of the required qualifications rather than waiting for a perfect match on every line. Use the responsibility and qualification lists on this page to map your experience; bring examples that show impact, not just tenure.
StrataHR is managing this search on behalf of our client. Shortlisted candidates move through structured interviews, reference conversations where appropriate, and transparent feedback. We support you through offer negotiation and onboarding so you can start with clarity on expectations, reporting lines, and success measures.
